Driver Training

Driver Education Courses in Sherwood Park, Edmonton and Surrounding Areas

Arctic Response Driver Training delivers several programs to enhance your driving knowledge and skill.  Whether you are a new driver or an experienced driver, we have the perfect program for you.  Each and every individual who shares the Highway Transportation System will be responsible for knowing the rules and regulations that govern its operation.  Ignorance is no excuse!  As you progressed from being a pedestrian to a cyclist and now a new driver, your awareness and responsibilities must increase accordingly.

The number of collisions on the road increases every year and most of them are due to driver error or lack of experience hitting the teenage demographic particularly hard.

Taking a driver education course offered by Arctic Response Driver Training will increase your knowledge, skill and behaviors on the roads and reduce the chance of being involved in a motor vehicle collision.

Driver Education Courses are divided into two parts: 15 hours of classroom or online training and 10 hours minimum in the vehicle.  Alberta Transportation, Examiners and Instructors recommend new drivers to achieve 40-60 hours of additional practicing with a Non- GDL driver to gain experience and confidence behind the wheel of a vehicle in all types of conditions.

The Economic Benefits of Driver Education Courses

The economic benefits of taking a driver education course are many!  One benefit is that it can help reduce your car insurance premium, which means more money in your pocket at the end of the month.

Another benefit is that it can reduce your risk factor by teaching you to be more aware of your surroundings when driving and the skills required to handle your vehicle and how to avoid collisions before they happen.  It is also worth noting that drivers who take driver education courses often are more successful on their road tests.
